The aim of Plataforma Democrática's Network of Politicians (PDNP) is to promote the development of a new political leadership, training young elected politicians and executive branch decision-makers from diverse ideological backgrounds and political parties in public policy management and key political concepts and issues. By focusing on building a consensus around concrete long-term national goals, the initiative rises above partisan and personal politics.

Through this initiative, Plataforma Democrática plans to strengthen the bonds and relationships between civil society, social sciences researchers and political leaders and create a fruitful dialogue among them, which will eventually improve the quality of the public debate, and increase social scientists and civil society sensibility towards the problems faced by political actors.
